The island of Soay as seen from the Cambir on Hirta, in the remote archipelago of St Kilda. Soay is home to a flock of around 300 feral Soay sheep.

St Kilda Scotland

A collection of photographs taken on Hirta, an island in the remote and spectacularly beautiful St Kilda archipelago in NW Scotland. The archipelago consists of several larger islands (Hirta, Boreray and Soay) and many smaller islands and sea stacks. They are all characterised my steep sea cliffs, where hundreds of thousands of seabirds are nesting. St Kilda has Unesco Dual World Heritage status due to its cultural and natural importance.
